The Research Center of Health, Bio-medicine, and Environment is one of the premier sources for molecular biology, microbiology, health, and environmental studies in the Kurdistan Region as well as Iraq.
It plays a crucial role in promoting and supporting public awareness and applying basic sciences by conducting mutual research collaborations with local and international organizations.
The Research Center of Health, Bio-medicine, and Environment contains two departments:

- Department of Microbiology
