About

The Pedagogy and Academic Training Center at Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research was officially established in 2025. Its purpose is to elevate the quality of higher education in the Kurdistan region through comprehensive professional development programs tailored for postgraduate educators and academic researchers. The center operates under the supervision and accreditation of the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, ensuring all courses and programs meet high academic and professional standards. We are dedicated to fostering innovation in teaching, promoting research-informed pedagogical practices, and encouraging collaborative scholarly initiatives that contribute significantly to educational advancement regionally and internationally.

How to Apply

  • Obtain the application form via the center’s official website or at the administrative office during working hours.
  • Complete the application with accurate personal and academic details, attaching all required supporting documents.
  • Applications are accepted during announced admission periods posted publicly on the website, social media platforms, and notice boards.
  • Submit the complete application form in person at the center’s office or electronically.
  • Upon submission, applications undergo a rigorous verification and approval process conducted jointly with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to validate degree authenticity and eligibility.
  • Successful candidates receive formal admission notification, course schedules, and payment instructions within two weeks of application closure.
  • Any incomplete or irregular applications are returned with a request for additional documentation or clarification.

A full downloadable version of the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct are provided for all stakeholders, and adherence is mandatory for trainers, staff, and participants.

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following to enroll in pedagogy training courses:

  • Hold a master’s or doctoral degree awarded by a recognized academic institution accredited locally/internationally.
  • Degree equivalency certificates must be submitted for qualifications earned outside the Kurdistan region, following the Ministry’s formal recognition procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the English language through one of the following:
    • IELTS score of 5.0 or higher
    • TOEFL IBT score of 59 or higher
    • PTE Academic score of 52 or higher
  • English proficiency certificates must be obtained within the last three years and officially certified by a recognized English language center.
  • Submission of identification documents, including valid passport or national ID card, and academic degree certificates.
  • Official authorization letters for workplace employees or teachers participating in the training.
  • Applicants with professional qualifications but without formal academic degrees are not eligible for this course. Please check our services.
