An organic petrology preparation lab is equipped to prepare rock samples for microscopic and analytical studies. The process involves:
1) Thin Section Preparation: Rocks are cut into thin slices using a cutting saw machine. The slices are polished using a pre-polisher machine and further refined with a polishing machine to achieve the required transparency for microscopic analysis.
2) Polish Block Preparation: Rock samples are mounted onto blocks and their surfaces are polished using polishing machines to create a smooth, reflective surface for detailed petrographic examination.
3) Powder Sample Preparation: Rocks are crushed into fine powder using a crusher machine. These powdered samples are used for various geochemical and mineralogical analyses. The lab ensures precision and efficiency in sample preparation for studying the organic composition and properties of rocks.
This laboratory consists of the following equipment:
Cutting Saw Machine
Grinding Machine
Polishing machine
Crusher Machine
Castable vacuum system
Ultrasonic for sample cleaning
