 Perspective 

In order to create an inclusive learning society, cultural awareness, and internationalization; Researchers and teachers in higher education must continue to empower themselves to become competent in conducting scientific research and teaching. For this purpose, the Kurdistan Institution Relations Office facilitates academic exchange in the field of inclusive education, as well as promoting and effective participation of researchers in important and strategic issues and projects to serve the community. 

Key function and academic services 

Works to enhance and expand the local and international position of the KISSR through effective coordination with renowned institutions of higher education in the Kurdistan Region/Iraq and around the world. Our goal is to provide valuable opportunities for our staff at the KISSR to gain scientific and academic research experience, by facilitating the active participation in a number of scientific and basic research projects in various fields. 

More specifically, the Office

• Manages coordination and promotion of programs and agreements with local and international partner universities.
• Informs KISSR staff of international opportunities.
• Organizes and participates in local and international visits.
• It also coordinates relations with local and international NGOs, embassies and partner universities

Strategy and Objectives

The objectives of the Directorate include striving for the principles of personal and professional research development among teachers and researchers at the KISSR through global thinking, and positive participation in research to serve the strategic projects of the KISSR for society; Examples include: 

More specifically, the Office

• Building strong partnerships: Actively works with renowned higher education institutions in the Kurdistan Region/Iraq and the world to establish strong and mutually beneficial partnerships (KISSR and partner), these collaborations will lead to the development of academic exchange programs, and joint initiatives research.

• Professional exchange and development: Encourages KISSR members to participate in exchange programs, and provides them with opportunities to teach, conduct research and participate in conferences of partner institutions. Such experiences increase their academic expertise and contribute to the international reputation of the KISSR.

   

• Collaborative research efforts: Through strategic partnerships, we actively seek opportunities to collaborate on research projects of mutual interest.
  
   
• Securing international funding: The KISSR actively explores opportunities for international funding for scientific research, as these grants facilitate the successful implementation of the Kurdistan institute strategic community service projects.
