This initiative establishes the first dedicated Stone Museum in Sulaymaniyah and the wider Kurdistan Region. Designed as a scientific, cultural, and educational hub, the exhibition showcases the region’s rich geological and environmental treasures. Due to its unique formations, Kurdistan possesses highly diverse specimens vital to research in geology and geophysics. Backed by the Kurdistan Institution’s extensive collection, the gallery features regional and international samples for comparative study. By integrating state-of-the-art Virtual Reality (VR) technology, the exhibition bridges academic research and public engagement—offering students, scientists, and official delegations an immersive, interactive journey through Earth’s geological history.
