On Tuesday, 28 April 2026, Professor Dr. Shwan K. Rashid, President of the Kurdistan institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research, accompanied by a number of the Institute’s researchers, visited Ambassador Dr Muhammad Sabir, President of the Jalal Talabani Foundation.

The aim of the meeting between the Kurdistan institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research and the President Jalal Talabani Foundation was to establish an exchange, build partnerships and coordinate efforts towards genuine joint participation, as well as to promote cultural awareness in order to focus more strongly on strategic issues in society, particularly those areas directly linked to citizens’ daily lives, and to expand and develop joint activities between the two parties.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided that a memorandum of understanding should be signed between the two parties in the future, within the framework of which joint projects and activities are to be implemented.
