After 2014, the latest European Erasmus+ program, in addition to the former European Member States, is open to worldwide exchanges. Important action 107 seeks to expand the well-known mobility of individuals to the EU countries and offers an incentive for foreign experience.

The collaboration between Erasmus+ and non-European countries is based on the same concept as the collaborations with European countries. Contracts with non-European partner universities that must be approved for funding under Key Action 107 ensure cooperation. Universities already members of the Erasmus+ program may apply annually for approval.

University members are limited to mobility with partner countries outside Europe. The migration of university students, lecturers, and workers from partner countries to Germany (Incoming) or travel from Germany to partner countries (Outgoing) may be facilitated depending on the world region. The mobility program KISSR KA107 is intended for researchers or employees who may stay at the University of Göttingen in Germany for at least 5 days up to 2 months.
